The Ultimate Chinese Fakeaway Box

The perfect Chinese fakeaway sharing box for friends and family, from @slimmingwjade. 

 

Ingredients

Serves: 2-3

  • Beef strips 100g
  • Chicken Breast 1
  • Frozen Spring Rolls x4
  • Rice 1/2 cup (1 boil in the bag)
  • White Onion (sliced) 1 large
  • Bell Peppers 2 (mixed colour)
  • Bean Sprouts 1/2 bag
  • Wholemeal Bread (toasted and into crumbs) 2 slices
  • Prawn Crackers
  • Eggs 4 (2 for egg wash, 2 for egg fried rice)
  • Mayflower Medium Curry Sauce 28g
  • Soy Sauce
  • Seasonings (garlic, chilli, salt, pepper) to taste
  • JD Seasonings Salt & Pepper seasoning 1
  • JD Seasonings Steak Rub 1
  • Large Potato (cut into chips) 1

Method

  1. Beef Chow Mein: Marinade the beef strips in ‘seasonings’, soy saue and JD seasonings steak rub. Stir fry with onion peppers and bean sprouts for 10 mins, then add cooked noodles and stir fry for 5 mins and serve.

  2. Chicken Balls: Cut the chicken breast into chunks, dip into 2 beaten eggs, cover with bread crumbs, season & spray with fry light. Cook in the oven at 180ºC for 25 mins.

  3. Salt & Pepper Chips: Spray the chips with frylight and sprinkle JD seasonings salt & pepper seasoning, cook in the oven at 200ºC for 30 mins (turning half-way through). Then stir fry with sliced peppers and onions.

  4. Egg Fried Rice: Boil rice and leave to cool for 20 mins. In a seperate pan scramble 2 eggs, then add the rice to the scrambled egg and add soy sauce.

  5. Spring Rolls: follow instructions on the packet.

  6. Curry Sauce: Whisk 28g of Mayflower Original (or Extra Hot for a kick), with 70-100ml of water, bring to the boil and then simmer for 2-3 minutes.

To Finish: Serve your dishes in a tray with prawn crackers or on a chopping board and ENJOY with friends & family!
