Mel's Chick 'n' Rice

A quick and tasty Southern Style Chick 'n' Rice.


Serves: 3-4

  • Chicken Breast (diced) 2-3
  • Frozen Peas 100g
  • White Onion (chunky diced) 1 large
  • Button Mushrooms (quartered) 100g
  • Long-grain Rice 2 cups
  • Mayflower Southern Style Gravy Mix 50g
  • Cold Water 270ml


1.   In a wok heat a tablespoon of oil, add the onion and fry until brown. Next add the peas and mushrooms and stir fry for 2 minutes. Lastly add the chicken and stir fry until cooked.

2.   Meanwhile, whisk together 50g of Southern Style Gravy Mix and water in a saucepan, bring to the boil and then simmer on a very low heat for 2-3 minutes.

3.   Add the sauce to the wok and stir.

4.   Serve with rice and ENJOY!
